Well said, that's exactly why me as a PM for a streaming database wrote dozens of solutions based on our platform, to get real-time alert/dashboards for sign ups, usage pattern, security, infra monitoring, streaming etl, even my credit card bills. Depending on the company size or popularity of the products, you may get more or less feedbacks from your external customers vs internal team or yourself, but your personal experience on the product/API can give you a concrete data point, more than the aggregated metrics, to help you better tune/shape the product.
